The worst bank I have had the misfortune to have used. Getting your own money out is a joke. 24hours later and the transfer still hasn’t been processed. Avoid using this bank is my advice. The most frustrating experience and totally unnecessary. I have closed my account as a result and refuse to support any business who is unable to offer what we the customer require.

Started a chargeback beginning of May for cancelled accommodation due to COVID. 2.5 months later their customer service team can not give me an update. Rude and inexperienced. Once I get this sorted, first thing I'll be doing is cancelling my account with them!

purchased car insurance through comparison site the first time, when the policy came through we had a restriction and could not drive an vehicles not registered to us. On calling Tesco they said that the restrictions were only for some new policy for a year. Renewed the policy this year and were failed to be informed that the restrictions and actually part of the policy, this is not noted anywhere on the website and neither do the staff bother to tell you of this condition. Pay a couple of extra pounds and get more out of fully comp cover
Awful customer service, don't touch them with a barge pole for car insurance!!
cant fault them in anyway i had a car insurance with another company and went on line when it was getting near the time to renew it they Tesco car insurance gave me a cheaper quote and have been with them a year and found them customer service very helpful towards the end of this year i found a slightly lower renewal quote from Coop so i took it .if next time if they give me lower quote then i will come back to them as i found them very helpful every time i got in touch with them from a very pleased customer
I rang up Saturday to advise that my bank card was not working contactless. Call answered very promptly. Advisor extremely helpful and professional. New card issued and arrived Thursday. Excellent service and very prompt response to my specific problem.
Excellent bank .
When suspicious activity on my account they phoned immediately brilliant customer service helpful polite.
Absolutely appalling customer service. It takes 20-30 minutes to get through. When I do I am put back on hold because inevitably I am speaking to the wrong person and they say they will try to pass me to the right team. It's a complete nightmare. And so it goes on. The regulator needs to come down hard on companies like this. It is completely unacceptable. I have decided to close my account.

Fairly good
But for insurance
Many hidden costs
And isn’t cheap
But could be worse
This is a review of Tesco Bank Box insurance for those having just learnt to drive.
It is impossible to contact them, just impossible. My son's box insurance is being automatically renewed (despite our request that it was not automatically renewed at the time we originally took it out) and we have tried every which way to contact them and stop it being auto-renewed. No one answers their phone. They don't ring you back even if you leave your details with the ring-back service. They don't respond on the 'live chat' (with wait times of up to an hour for assistance.. it's 'dead chat' really). And no-one answers queries by Twitter or Facebook. And they don't even have an email address... which would be the very best way to contact them if they are struggling with insufficient staff to cover enquiries.
No doubt my son's insurance will be auto-renewed... even though he doesn't even have a car anymore.... and then we'll have to spend even more wasted hours trying to get our money back.
changed direct debit last month to take entire payment to clear the balance, this month they taken only 15 quid so no doubt going to get charged on the overlimit amout by the time it comes to my next one(if they actually take the full payment) but no doubt they will refuse to take whole amount again since they cant even change it the first time round.......logged a file with financial ombudsman as i cant get through to them whcih feels like a way to avoid sorting customers issues.
DONT REPLY TO THIS, IF YOU HAVE TIME TO REPLY TO THIS REVIEW CALL MY GOD DAMN PHONE AND CHANGE MY DIRECT DEBIT AMOUNT OR EXPECT THIS TO GO THROUGH FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE.
Initially Tesco fair price Problems start after first yr .We had NO claims in first yr and when they quoted second yr it more than doubled. We asked why when nothing had changed & they said our postcode. Now I am aware various things determine insurance and postcode is a factor .We had same postcode as last quote &we think Tesco playing the odds game .First yr they had our money for nothing if the insure you for second or even a third yr the odds are higher you'll claim So they give you a price to send you elsewhere. Con men @Tesco
I got told by an agent on the phone that I didn’t need to pay any more payments until September due to my renewal. So I didn’t put the money aside that month for the payment as it wasn’t expected off me. I got this confirmed by a separate agent on an online web chat who also said I didn’t have to pay so I thought ‘great’ because how can two people mess up right ? So it’s got to the end of this month and guess what I’ve been charged when I was told by numerous agents I wouldn’t need to, so now I am in overdraft with my bank and won’t have enough money to pay all my bills this month. It’s very saddening and Tesco told me there is nothing they can do! I’m sorry but there is always something. I also got informed I was speeding a month ago doing an apparent 60mph in a 30mph which I instantly went wide eyed about as I don’t speed. Turns out my gps had skipped and located itself elsewhere as I was on the dual carriageway at the time doing the speed limit. So I wouldn’t recommend the black box either. Whatever you do, stay clear.
